About + Portfolio

Inspired by an array of muses such as Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland, the everlasting beauty of vintage treasures, our exquisite natural world, and anything wild, wonderous and whimsy, Madeline turns imagination into the tangible with original artworks, bespoke illustrations, dreamy patterns and small batch creations.

Madeline is an illustrator, pattern designer and artist living on Bundjalung country, creating from her home studio.

Eight years ago, Madeline began taking commissions under the name Wilder (a little nod to the extraordinary creator Gene Wilder). Initially selling her artworks at her local market, over the years Madeline has designed repeat patterns for textiles, murals for cafes and stores, whilst continuing to create intimate commissioned illustrations.

In 2020, Madeline launched Wilder Studio, and online creation station for passion projects and a space for collaborations. You can access her original works and handmade creations via the Store

Wilder Studio also has it's own Pattern Library, where you can purchase licensing for ready-made seamless repeat patterns. So whether its for your own sewing project or a new pattern for your spring collection, make sure to browse the ever expanding library of patterns Wilder Studio offers.

Finally, Wilder Studio loves nothing more then connecting with people, so a 'Studio' room has been added as place where we can create together. Whether it's a bespoke artwork you're chasing, or you're wanting an exclusive-to-you repeat pattern that is custom made to your liking, this is where we can get to know each other and create something you're going to adore.

So there you have it. This is Wilder Studio. Pop down the rabbit hole and take a look for yourself.
